I woke up yesterday at about 4am and decided to go online to send a quick chikka message to anyone from my organization who's going with the nature trip and clean-up drive to inform that I'll be there right at 6am. Then when I checked my email I was surprised that it's full of notifications from bloggers.com. I was used to receiving friend requests or follow notifications but only up to 5 a day or one at a time for most days but not like this one that it came like my mail was hit by storm. (Ok, I'm exaggerating... haha) But well what can I do, I'm just a nobody, blogging about my life's nonsense therefore I was all wondering about how too many people (more than 10 is too many already for me) all of a sudden were noticing my blog.

It turns out I was one of the three featured bloggers, listed in the Editors' Picks of the Day on Bloggers.com. I was totally floored. I didn't know how it happened. But then one of the email says "Congratulation! You are have been Featured on Bloggers."

Honestly while I was hiking and enjoying the falls I kept on thinking about it. I already thank the site on twitter before I went hiking because it was just the right words that I can say at the moment. I was totally speechless. I wasn't expecting for this. People may say I'm overreacting on this one for there are already a lot of bloggers that are being featured everyday. But if you came to think of it there are millions of bloggers out there and it's one in a million that you'll get a chance on this one. Especially that I joined the site on April 23, 2011 and never really been active. I mean I only answer friend request and say hi to people that talk to me first which is another great thing about the site.
Bloggers - Meet Millions of Bloggersbloggers.comBloggers Community: Know the best bloggers around the world, discover them and connect yourself with this friendly bloggers community.

I really don't know how people discover my blog but since I joined there's always one or two almost a day that say hi to me either through comments or pm. People are really that friendly which is another plus if you're a little shy or not just the type who initiate conversations which I am half of the time =)

I've been featured so what now? Dunno. Someone said he expect more and better from me... uh, oh. How am I be able to do such as that? This is pressure but I won't promise anything. I'm just going to continue being myself and discover life as it is while trying to do better each day. I'm still praying so hard about the last one for my stubborn head.

Anyways, I'm already happy just blogging but more so when someone lurks in my blog or simply take their time to say hi so even though this may comes out like bragging but I'm humbly posting this to say thank you for the time considering wasting a minute or two in this blog.

And before I totally forget July 15 was my blog's monthsary. I started this blog on March 15, 2011 so being featured has been a great way to celebrate this plus I already have a Google page rank. I have a lot of things to be thankful for yesterday was such a very blessed Friday indeed.

How about you? What are the things you're thankful and grateful for the last Friday or anything for these past few days?

It's been a while since we had this blessed visitor. It has been going on (since I was in high school, I think)  in the subdivision where we live that at least every month She will visit each house for a day or two. But sometimes some households forgot to pass her to the next that it takes more than months before She showed up again to other homes. This in particular had been a year before we had Her again.

It's been too long since I last pray the rosary and myself amazed me that the prayers aren't along those memories that had been washed out by my decision to slack on remembering things. I'm very proud that I now knew I've memorized it by heart. The Hail Holy Queen and the Let Us Pray part but not so much of the Litany.

I just want to have this blog post as a reminder of Her visit and a way of another prayer to thank Her, celebrate Her presence and pray for Her maternal protection for our families and every households, every individual living or not. May the Blessed Mother protect us always.

The Miraculous Medal Apostolate

I pray for WEALTH in all aspect of our lives.
Wealth of guidance.
Wealth of happiness.
Wealth of health.
Wealth of peace of mind.
Wealth of tranquility.
Wealth of compassion.
Wealth of kindness.
Wealth of love.
Wealth of inspiration and creativity.
Wealth of all simplest and joyous things in life.
May we all be rich men in our relationships and everyday life.
May we shower Her the abundance of gratefulness through our own little ways.

Today I am grateful for having a family. It's not perfect for nothing is perfect. There's cat fight once awhile, arguments, and conflicts but that's life and we're still here, surviving and still intact midst the trials.

I'd like to excuse myself for not taking much time about the title of this post. Well, it was father's day and Rizal's bday and Naga City chartered anniv, that's triple treat but on a personal note we only have two celebrations: Father's day and my cousin's bday.

I just came up with Double Trouble but it's a celebration albeit a fun one... haha I'm not making sense I know but well to enjoy life you don't really need everything to make sense.

June 19's manoy's 28th bday. He's just one year older than me. We all grew up very close exchanging summers in our homes and celebrating almost every occasion together. Looking back he's the first one to mature and to this day he's still the most spiritual. He gave me the guidance and care I needed during my down days.

He even had this offering just for his birthday.

The food's great especially the salad and grilled liempo, we had little nice family chitchats and Judge Caring join us in this celebration with few friends and videoke of course.

Life is good, indeed.

I'm slacking in this post...
too happy to think straight and make sense...

Let's celebrate people when we still have them. Let's celebrate life while we're still in it.

Tis the season of graduation. An event of mix emotions happiness for you've finally made it passed your subjects; sadness for you're saying goodbye to your alma mater, your home for years and goodbyes to people, friends, classmates, teachers, etc. that you've been with for years of your schooling; fear that you are now venturing into a different world: for elementary graduates, high school it would be, for high schools college here we come and for college grads Welcome to the real world where everyone bites for real :) And yes along with all of these emotions is the excitement that a new world awaits for you to finally make all your dreams come true. Though you have to be prepared for the reality that not all of them will eventually materialize but hey, don't lose hope there's always something good waiting for everyone to happen and it will unfold all in the right time.

We had attended awhile ago a little celebration of a neighbor for a high school graduation and yesterday we had visitors coming from a nursing graduation too. So kudos to Mark and Bryan for a job well done and this event is making me nostalgic... darn! Congratulations Batch 2011!

Food, drinks, kids, pips, food, food, food...

Kalamay: c/o Chang... yummy, my favorite of all :)
Thank you for inviting us to this special occasion Ms. Vilma Furiscal. I haven't eaten anything the whole day so it was right on time to pig-out for dinner. LOL.

It's off topic but I got this after the party so I wanted to thank Ira for the pasalubong... chocolates straight from Canada...

This is what's left of it and I'm munching it as we speak; late midnight snacks to top all the eating spree for the day so much for my balanced diet. What diet? I don't have it in my dictionary. Shoot!
